Sounds like you are feeling frustrated and that you value how you treat your followers.  I have heard that several others were bit in this technical snafu. Tumblr queue has been hit and miss for me as well, I once attempted to create a calendar tumblog that posted the date every day so you knew where you were in the dashboard. I abandoned that great idea because the queue was unreliable.
