George Clarke, a producer from Belfast, is pretty sure he found a time traveler chatting on a cell phone in The Circus, a 1928 Chaplin flick.
The above video is the detail, but Clark also recorded an eight-minute-plus explanation.
“It’s a phone. It is a phone,” he says sometime after the six-minute mark.
Were there cell phone towers around in the 1920s? And who would this old lady be chatting with?
